I have been a big fan of President Obama from the beginning. He's a brilliant, energetic, pragmatic thinker, as opposed to being a one-note politician who is held hostage by his own ideology. However, lately, I've been thinking that the President has a fatal flaw. He just fails to understand that no matter how many concessions he makes and no matter how inclusive he is, the Republican Party and right-wing will never work with him. They will never do anything that might give him the appearance of being an effective leader. They will continue to obstruct and delay every good piece of legislation that Obama introduces. The President's failure to understand this unfortunate reality does not go down well with people like me who expect the government to govern. I'm not sure how the President can best deal with the opposition party's obstructionist strategy, but thinking that he can reason with them or achieve any kind of effective compromise is just unfortunately sad and absurd.
Obama is no Clinton okay...He cant work with the "triangle" like clinton did when he lost both houses. Obama is not a centrist. He is an Ideolog and will stand by his liberal principles.

ReplyDeleteThe President is leading to lead the country in 2 terms. I think if he gets re-elected we are going to see a fierce radical Obama. One that we have yet to see, but are all waiting for. I'm excited.
